Definitive Sankey by Jay Sankey and Vanishing Inc. Magic
Item Number: BA7964
The journey begins with a thoughtful introduction on what makes Jay Sankey tick, and then details all the sleights and signature moves needed for the ensuing volumes. Then we lead off with Cards and Props, a chapter devoted to such Sankey classics as "Airtight" and "Nailed," yet also includes the lovely, unpublished "Madelaine's Mystery." There is a chapter detailing a dozen effects along the "Torn and Restored" plot, as well as chapters on close-up mentalism, body magic, and the bill switch. This book also includes over 80 pages of theoretical and interview material.
Volume 2 takes you right back into the action with a chapter on magic with keys. Then comes all of Jay's best work with the Erdnase Color Change, including his signature "Fragile Harbor" effect, wherein you push a drawing of a ship into a bottle. Stage Mentalism, Ambitious Card, Situational Magic, and Restaurant Magic are all chapters in this worker-focused volume of The Definitive Sankey. There are several outstanding unpublished effects included, alongside Jay's highly-praised Beyond Secrets essays on the performance of magic. Volume 3
The centerpiece of Volume 3 is the chapter of magic with bills. Sankey has done more work on close-up magic with borrowed bills than anyone else, and the finest of this material is collected here. "Voodoo," "Montreal Transpo," and "Chameleon" are other standouts from chapters on magic with matches, borrowed decks, pens, coins, and fire.
