A borrowed quarter is marked for identification. The coin is now wrapped in a small piece of paper then set on fire. When only ashes are left it is clear that the coin has vanished. The spectator is then asked to look inside the matchbook. They can feel something inside but can't see anything. Why? The coin is actually sealed inside the layers of paper that make up the matchbook. The spectator rips open the cover over the book and removes their signed coin.
