A spectator is asked to think of any card of the 52 in a deck. No force! Any of the 52 cards can be selected. The performer hands him eight specially printed computer cards, which have some random card pips printed on them. The spectator is asked to retain the cards which show his selected card, and discard the others. The magician is instantly able to reveal the selected card. Very easy to do.
