This trick was performed twice by David Copperfield on his television specials and is perhapson of the best close-up routines of all time. The effect is that you have a rubberband stretched between the thumb and index finger of each hand. One rubberband is then made topenetrate through the other. It seems impossible that one band could pass the other withoutbeing removed from the finger but that is exactly what happens.
