Show the audience a deck of cards (the cards are all different). Cards are dropped from one hand to the other, the spectator says stop. The magician gives the card to the spectator to remember and shows a wooden box with a watch inside. He then gives the watch out for inspection, replaces the watch back in the box, closes it and places the it on the table visible to all.
The magician then places the selected card back into the middle of the deck. Somehow, the magician has caused the selected card to come to the top of the pack. Then, miraculously, the magician begins to rub the corner of the card until the corner melts away (magician's hands are empty)!
The magician then gives the card to the spectator and opens the box on the table. Now the watch has the card corner inside it! It is actually sealed between the casing and the glass! The magician gives the watch to the spectator to compare the corner and the original card. Finally, the magician can give the card and the watch as a souvenir, if so desired!
