A solid wooden die and a handsome wooden box containing two compartments and four doors is introduced. The die is placed in one of the compartments and all four doors are closed. The die is distinctly shown in the box.
The magician now commands the die to leave the box, opening one compartment to show that it has vanished. This is repeated several times, the suspicions of the audience becoming very definite as they hear the die sliding back and forth between the compartments.
Several spectators excitedly announce that they got a flash of the die, as the magi apparently made a mistake and opened the "wrong" side. As many time as the die appears in the box on both sides it will eventually completely vanish from the die box. The die ends up back in a hat and can be passed around for examination.
The Die box is made from solid oak and is hand rubbed and highly polished with the finest stains. It has a fine "furniture quality" finish. It has what is called the double "sucker" feature where the die can be shown in either compartment at any time. This item is not mass-produced on an assembly line.
A fine wood craftsman makes it from start to finish.
