Royal Tonte - Bob Sheets     $31.50
Qty:
Ton Onosaka is a legend in magic and this routine shows you why.

Now made with JUMBO cards and taught by Bob Sheets. All the moves and hysterical patter are included.

The classic Game of "3-Card Monte" with a new Twist!

Three cards are shown: two indifferent cards, and a court card. The spectator is asked to "find the picture card," but that's not possible, for now the performer holds three indifferent cards-the court card is found inside the magician's pocket!

The game is repeated with the four-card set. Again, the spectator is unable to find the court card. The packet now consists of four indifferent cards; the court card is again inside the magician's pocket!

The performer suggests that a five card game is too difficult, so one card is set aside. The remaining cards are mixed. The spectator is asked to locate the court card, and of course, suspects that the card put aside is the court card. In fact, that card turns out to be an indifferent card. The performer finally comments, "Perhaps Monte is not your game..." He turns the cards over to display a Royal Straight Flush in spades! "You should try Poker, instead!"

Includes the JUMBO cards, complete illustrated instructions, and DVD.

Diving Rod     $36.00
Qty:
The Divining Rod
by Allen Zingg and Blaine Harris

Peter Marucci, the clever and very creative Canadian performer of a diverse blend of magic and mentalism, shared a brilliant approach to the neo-classic "Hot Rod". Not your father's "Hot Rod" any longer, Peter suggested an approach that gives this meaning, depth, and texture. Blaine Harris, a fellow magician and expert craftsperson working with leather and wood, crafted the divining rods you have purchased with loving care, using the finest hardwoods and very high quality imported Austrian crystals. The numerous coats of finish and high buffing of the wood, gives these rods a high and rich luster. Allen Zingg has created a number of original professional routines, designed for maximum audience impact and magical quality, and has incorporated fine inspirations from Peter and Kenton Knepper. You will be delighted in both the product and these fine routines and ideas. Here are some highlights:
  • The Divining Rod—a routine in which the participant's thoughts and questions cause the gemstones to change color, not once, but twice. Highly personal and evocative, this routine is visual mentalism and will be remembered and felt by your audience long after your performance.

  • Colors of the Rainbow—a metaphorical journey to the magical child within each of us as we try to capture dreams and rainbows. Try as you might, you cannot capture the colors of each gemstone as they turn to clear, brilliant, white diamonds one at a time, and then return all at once to conclude this stunning and innovative routine. Not possible with any other product on the market.

  • Numerous Additional Routines and Ideas are included in this manuscript to create other performance pieces using The Divining Rod.

  • Natural Handlings and Tips to enhance your performance, make it easy, natural and magical.
Your Divining Rod set includes:
  • A set of 2 matching rods
  • 20 color pages of routines and additional ideas
  • A felt display (used in some of the routines)
Reviewer's Comments

"Wow! This is the pro's Hot Rod. Nothing like it out there. The rods are exquisite, and your routines are second to none. Thanks so much for releasing this to us."
-Kenton Knepper

"Allen Zingg¹s Divining Rods are elegant props of hardwood and crystal. Just as elegant, and far more exceptional, are the three routines that accompany them. The handlings are sensible and the presentations are both varied and highly imaginative. Such new life has been breathed into this old classic that what Allen offers us is a new classic."
-Robert E. Neale

"I'm such a "believer" in the Hot Rod that I even did a column in the Linking Ring on how to make the count believable.

It was that column, I think, that caught the attention of Bro. Allen Zingg, who -- using my design and Blaine Harris' craftsmanship -- has written The Divining Rod instructions, which are by light years the best I have EVER come across for the handling of the Hot Rod, and (thanks to the aforementioned Blaine) the most elegant Hot Rods I've ever seen.

Before I say anything else, let me point out that I have NO financial interest in the Hot Rods. Allen asked if he could use my idea and I volunteered it. That's my only connection.

The Hot Rods are of hand polished hard wood with Swaworski crystals imported from Austria.

The Zingg Hot Rods are a spectacular piece of magic, with superb instructions!"

Cheers,
Peter Marucci

Mindreading and Telepathy     $47.00
Qty:
Mind Reading and Telepathy
by Erik Jan Hanussen - Steinschneider

From the Book:

You are about to enter the rather strange world of Erik Jan Hanussen, who was a figure of mystery and controversy in the strange twilight world that existed in Germany between the two great wars…

..Also, There is a great deal of introductory material – four introductions by various people who were connected in some way with this kind of performance, as well as Hanussen's own introductory and oft-times pseudo scientific, pseudo historical material. All of it will give you some insight into the way Hanussen thought as well as his own background and experiences. It is definitely worth reading, especially Banachek's, because he is quite experience in this field…

So what's all this fuss about Hanussen, anyway? Could he really read minds? That depends on whose definition you use. By his definition - yes. Was he really a telepath? Again, that depends on the definition you use. By his definition - yes.

- Bill Palmer (Translator)

…Hanussen was, without any doubt, a man who didn't want to be content with success alone. He wanted more; he wanted power, and this at all costs. Therefore, he was absolutely unscrupulous if it were necessary to be unscrupulous in order to obtain it. It clearly follows from the numerous biographies that concern themselves with the personality of Hanussen that he often crossed the borders of the morally justifiable on those occasions. In the end, his hunger for power also cost him his life.

But now to the content of this rare book: rare, if only, as I learned form Jimmy Bix, because before connecting himself to the Nazi movement, Hanussen took care that all available copies were withdrawn from circulation. This also happened with his 300 page thick book - Die Weltseele…

…So, this book is a true treasure trove for everyone who wants to study Hanussen himself, and the material upon which his enormous fames was based – for whatever reason.

- Ulf Bolling-Borodin (From the Foreword)

Palms of Steel 4 Cashablanca     $31.50
Qty:
Palms of Steel 4: Cashablanca
by Curtis Kam

From all over the world, coin tricks come to Cashablanca fleeing the Gaffed Coin Gestapo and the tyranny of the EZ to Master race. Here, they struggle to become pure sleight-of-hand Magic; earning their passage to audiences in the free world. Hidden away from the distractions of a phony studio audience, Curtis Kam performs and explains the tricks that have earned their letters of transit:

Ilsa's Appearance

The audience is teased into watching you pull invisible coins from the air, and spread them into a fan. Just when they're convinced that your hands are empty and you're pulling their legs, BAM--three silver dollars pop into view.

Just when they're sure it'll never happen, the money appears, like the girl you left behind. This could be the beginning of a beautiful coin trick.

Cashablanca Coins Across

Follow Ilsa with the perfect working man's coins across--three ordinary coins, no risky moves. Do it standing, sleeveless, table-less, topless, for brooding loners or the whole German army. Features the latest in American edge grip technology, (but the angles are 100% practical) the revolutionary "In Closing" steal, and a new breed of retention pass that fools the mind, not the eye.

Three Coins Across, sweet and simple. Americans love simple things with money. Paris Hilton, for example. We'll always have Paris.

The Greatest ($3) Show on Earth

Three coins take the stage like clowns from a tiny car. The youngest tumbles and rolls; his brothers do a fingertip trapeze act. Put away in your pockets, they jump back to the stage then fly like human cannonballs, appearing under, on top of, and inside a coin purse. A full routine with all the action of a three-ring circus, daring new techniques, and a built-in storyline that can be either circus or Cirque, as you wish.

Play It Again, Kam (Another Hard Way) / Excellent Birds

Seven coins ooze out of your empty hands, into a nifty display position, no less. From there, you perform the classic "Flying Eagles" with an upgrade to the 21st century. A new take on a classic, with killer convincers and a Harbottle finish.

I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little coins don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. But seven coins, now that gets my attention.

Triple Alliance 2.0

This advanced, enhanced handling of Triple Alliance (from Palms of Steel 3: Silverado) is the only Copper/Silver/Brass where the audience hears the first transpo, sees the second, feels the third, and then experiences the rare and elusive triple transposition. Brought to you through virtuoso routining and the simplest of gaffs, it's a visual, audible, tactile feast for the senses that stops short of total sensory immersion only because the coins all taste about the same.

BONUS: International Solid ThreeFly (Reed McClintock)

Three different coins fly from the fingertips of one hand to the other. That simply. No moves, no feints, no pauses, no dumb gags, no trips to the pockets, all visible, and when the last coin goes, you're clean. Reed figures that the only reason to use a gaff is if it produces an illusion this good. Why pay more for gaffed coins that do less?

If you don't get this video, you'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life. Here's looking at you, kid.

WHAT THE PROS SAY:

I just finished watching "Palms of Steel 4", I must say Curtis Kam has outdone himself. Coin magic for everyone...from the beginner to the advanced, geared for the table worker!

The production of this DVD has to be one of the finest I have ever seen...Spielberg would be proud! The graphics are quite entertaining as well...right down to the rolling credits.

BTW, Reed McClintock makes a guest appearance with a very nice coin effect (I won't say what it is as I don't want to spoil the surprise) I highly recommend this (as well as anything put out by the Magic Bakery) for anyone looking to advance their coin work! -Mike Gallo

"The Palms of Steel 4- Cashablanca DVD is very well done and has new and refreshing ideas for todays coin man. Great job Steve, Curtis and Reed!" - Dean Dill

"Palms of Steel 4 is great - Curtis is just awesome! Loved the out-takes as well" - Paul Green

Gob Smacked     $18.00
Qty:
GobSmacked w/ DVD - Damianou & Lovell

The magician presents a blue deck of cards. The backs and fronts of the cards reveal it is a 52 card regular deck. The deck is placed face up on the table. This is the last time the magician will touch the deck.

The spectator is asked to cut the deck around the mid point, and place the cut-off pile alongside the other pile. They then select one of the two piles, and the other pile is placed to one side. The magician asks the spectator to deal the cards face-up from the face-up pile, and stop at ANY card they wish. Which they do. A genuinely free choice.

The selection is placed away from the rest of the deck, and the magician now takes the remaining cards and specifies that truly, the spectator had a free choice, and the card they chose isn't a duplicate of any of the other blue backed cards.

Upon turning over the selection the spectator is GOBSMACKED to see that not only is the card a red backed one, it also has their name written across it? (Or any message you want).

You will receive all necessary cards to get you started and enter the Gobsdmacked World, a full-colour instructional leaflet containing everything you need to perform Gobsmacked and a Multi-Regional DVD explaining the full working of Gobsmacked with many more suggestions on using Gobsmacked in Various scenarios from Birthday parties to coorporate functions.

Mismade Thank You Silk     $9.00
Qty:
This "Mismade Thank You" silk set is based on a concept of Steve Bender, owner of Ickle Pickle Products. The single "Mismade Thank You" silk has been around for many years, but Steve added a second normal "Thank You" silk to give the performer a better conclusion to the routine.

This comical ending to a performance works very well for magicians, clowns, and M.C.'s

At the conclusion of his act the performer displays a silk on which is written a mismade version of the words "Thank You." He turns the silk in various ways in an unsuccessful attempt to make the works look correct.

Finally in disgust, he shoves the silk into either his hand or small cloth bag. Then he pulls it out and displays it again. This time it correctly speels "Thank You."

Silk Dimensions Approximately 18" (45.72cm)
