An impromptu effect with a deck of cards and a rubber band.
No gimmick required
Easy to do
Slip a drinking straw into a can of soda and "capture" a few drops of soda into the end of the straw. Then get gasps from your audience as they see the soda slowly rise up the straw! It really looks impossible and is much easier to do than you might think. And yes, you can even hand out the straw to be examined.
This is one of the most visual revelations Jay has ever created. Reveal the name of a playing card, 'thought of' esp symbol, and almost anything else you can write or draw on the side of a thick rubber band. Wear it on your wrist and you are always READY TO AMAZE.
Cause a borrowed finger ring to melt through two ordinary drinking straws under test conditions. Jay's been performing this mysterious effect in combination with Tarbell's classic "two straws penetration" routine for years. And thanks to the very sneaky method, Exit Strategy is extremely easy to perform.
Chris Randall is a seasoned pro with tremendous experience with the thumb-tip.
He has CONFIDENCE with this wonderful prop, and that is a rarity, even among pros.
Here he will share tips on how to handle the thumbtip naturally, and an amazing effect in which a dollar bill is changed into a poker chip or coin, RIGHT...
Make a sharpie melt through a rubber band in front of the spectator and then have the spectator pull the sharpie and have it melt.
This is magic I have come up with over the years, These are all very hard hitting magic effects.
Chap Wrap: You show a chap stick, then place it into a spectators hand and close it. You then shoot a rubber band into their hand and the rubber band seems to vanish... Just then you ask the spectator to open...
These are very close and interactive magic effects, that I have put together over a few years.
Why these effects work:
They are broken down in a fashion in which the spectator will not be expecting anything.
The effects are executed fast, and hard requiring body-flow and timing... thus they become almost impossible...
The difference between this coin in card is the psychological belief that occurs, and makes the spectators believe the coin appears in the card.
