Self-Working - Transform a Liquid into an Entirely Different Solid Item. Show a fancy vase completely empty. A glass of clear water (or any other liquid) is poured into the vase. This is now covered with an empty cylinder. The cylinder is lifted away, and the contents of the vase thrown out, the liquid has transformed into a silk, (or any other object) of a similar nature.

A bowl is shown empty, and filled to the brim with water. A piece of paper is placed over the mouth of the bowl, and the bowl inverted, and the water stays suspended in the bowl, with the paper stuck over the mouth. Any high school student in the audience will know this works on the scientific principle of air pressure keeping the paper in place. The magician now goes a step further, and peels away the paper from the mouth of the bowl. The water still remains suspended in the bowl. Finally the paper is replaced over the mouth of the bowl, and the bowl inverted upright. The paper is removed, then the water poured out of the bowl once again. The Atomic Water Vase is a self contained prop, with the gimmick built into it. You have nothing to do but practice the handling a couple of times, and present it. It is always ready to work. You show two clear empty glasses and a solid plastic square. The two glasses are stacked one on top of the other with the solid plastic square between them. Milk or any other liquid is poured into the upper glass and the liquid remains there as expected. The glasses are now briefly covered with a silk or any such thing and in an instant the liquid from the top glass magically vanishes from the top glass and re-appears in the bottom glass. Seems like the milk has penetrated the top glass and the solid plastic square. Sounds impossible, but it has just happened right in front of the eyes of the audience. |
We are all familiar with the classic Magic Funnel. For those of you who do not know it by name, it is the trick where you can produce water from any place with the aid of a funnel. The problem has always been loading the liquid. If you have ever used it, you know that it is a bother to use Scotch tape and all that stuff. If you have not, you do not want to know. Now you can forget about Scotch tape and untimely spilling. Automatic Funnel, is the one and only plastic magic funnel with a valve. The performer introduces a stand that displays eight individual razor blades. To prove they are sharp the blades are removed from their holder and several cuts are made in a piece of paper. The blades are placed back in the holder.The performer then removes a spool of thread, breaks of long piece and puts it in his mouth. The stack of razor bladesis also put in his mouth. Next, he takes a drink of water. Now he begins to pull the razor blades from his mouth. Each one is strung onto the thread several inches apart. This is a classic effect that is easy to perform using this quality prop. |

A QUALITY WOODEN PROP - Perfect for Stage acts and children's shows. A brightly colored wooden card holder with a cloth 'skirt' around it is shown and a jumbo card is displayed. Magician explains that he is going to show the audience the view that some one BACKSTAGE gets when a magician performs a trick. - You are going to demonstrate how a magician vanishes a jumbo sized playing card. Firstly you demonstrate the trick, carefully placing the card between two wooden boards on the card vanishing table. You then remove the boards and show them both sides, the card has vanished. Now you explain how the trick is done and proceed to show the audience the view from backstage. They clearly see that the card actually falls through a hidden slot in the table and is caught and held underneath by ribbons. Thinking they now know your secret, you proceed to demonstrate the trick again, from the front view. NOW FOR THE SUCKER PUNCH - Having made the card vanish you proceed to rip away the 'skirt' from the table to show the card really has vanished! and all the audience will see is the ribbons dangling beneath the table where they thought the 'vanished' card had gone. |
Two wooden boomerangs of equal length are displayed, one red the other yellow. The performer states that he can make one longer than the other and proceeds to do just that. First the red one is shown to be about 2" longer than the yellow. Then the performer casts his spell and now the yellow one is longer than the red one. Finally the crowd gets wise and figures out that it's an optical illusion...but the performer wins out in the end, BECAUSE he actually causes the yellow stick to really become longer than the red one! This apparatus consists of a cabinet 10 inches by 5 inches square, just bouncing with decoration. The cabinet is open at the top, front, and rear, and may even be examined. A spectator inflates a balloon and it is placed in the cabinet. The performer smashes it with the block of wood and as the balloon breaks a live dove appears. Scores of effects are possible. Balloon to Silk --- Balloon to Candy or Glass of Liquid --- or anything else that is about the size of the cabinet. Operate everything close-up and surrounded. Entirely mechanical. No hanging bags.
