A spectator puts an article inside the box & closes the lid.
The performer is able to exactly name the item placed inside.

The ultimate, super-charged comedy presentation for the Koran Medallion!
Ever since the release of the best-selling "Educating Archer" DVD we have had countless requests for this routine to be released. Finally after months of research and countless prototypes and anticipation, we can now bring to you this highly-acclaimed, professional routine.
The basic outline of Collard begins with you introducing a large stuffed toy dog* and announcing that you would like the audience to name him or her for you. Now you have several spectators in the audience call out a letter at a time, which you make a note of on your home-made birth certificate! Note at this point - none of the letters are forced and they can spell out even the most bizarre of "names!"
You now have a spectator join you on the stage and draw their attention to the dog that has been sitting at the other side of the stage and especially the collar that he or she is wearing. They will see that the collar already has a name on it…impossibly; it matches the previous randomly selected name exactly!
The beauty of Collard is that it can be worked in parlour and cabaret situations, stage performances, and also kid's shows! This routine really is the ultimate in creative thinking, superb routining and a premise that proves that stuffed toys are not just for children!
If you like good, direct, entertaining and funny presentations accompanied by strong Magic and Mentalism; you will absolutely love Collard, which has received rave reviews from Magicians, Mentalists and laypeople alike! Now you too can add this outstanding routine to your act!
Your "Collard" comes with the precision manufactured name-tag gimmick, the secret something to add to a regular pad of paper and full written instructions.
*Supply your own toy dog, pad of paper and collar strap. |
To all appearances this is a torch or electric lantern, used by Campers, Miners, Fishermen, Sailors, or around the house. It is a familiar item to all in your audience, and they can handle this, switching it on and off by the toggle switch on this. (In fact the "gimmicking" is done in a regular commercial torch of this type.) Yet the lighting of this torch/lantern is entirely under your control, and you can have it light at will from several feet away, even when held in a spectator's hand. This Command Light is fitted with a high frequency switching receiver, along with a cigarette packet size transmitter to control the lighting action from your pocket.
There have been other similar effects in the past, (Beam Shot, Laser Light, Spook Light etc.) involving magnets and reed switches, where a torch magically lights under your control to reveal a selected card, or as a lie detector, and so on. You could easily perform any of these effects, without the need to be glued in the vicinity of the torch.
For the purveyor of Bizarre Magic, the torch could be a remnant from a mining accident, or a flood, or a shipwreck in the Bermuda Triangle, which took place on this day at this time, exactly so many years ago. A sort of impromptu Seance produces a flashing S.O.S. from the torch held by a "psychic" spectator, covered under a handkerchief. Its uses are limited by your imagination, - we give you some suggestions to start you off. |
The performer shows a padlock and passes out seven keys to seven spectators. Each tries his or her key in the lock. The keys turn but do not open the lock. The spectators are each given a small coin envelope and instructed to seal their key in it. An eighth key is brought out. The lock can be opened only with this one key. It is also sealed into an envelope. The envelopes are held and shuffled by a spectator. Another spectator locks the lock and someone picks an envelope. The key is removed and a spectator now opens the lock with the chosen key. Comes with several variations on the routine. Quality Master lock and keys. |
A padlock and 6 keys are shown. With the help of a spectator it is confirmed that only one key opens the lock. A large denomination bill is then placed inside a plexi-glass case and locked with the padlock. The keys are mixed up in a paper bag and 5 spectators are each asked to select a key. They are told they get to keep the bill if their key opens the lock. They can switch keys as often as they like but no matter their keys will not work. Only the key left for the performer will open the lock! No Forcing of any kind. |

The Magician senses a strange feeling of familiarity with an audience member and asks for their name. The audience member's name is written and placed onto the stage for everyone to see. A calculator is taken out and passed around the audience. The Magician asks the first member with the calculator to input any four digit number that has meaning to them and then the calculator is passed on. Numbers and equations are inputed into the calculator per each passing member. The final digit is totaled. The magician pulls out a sealed envelope with a prediction written before the show. The sealed envelope is passed onto a audience member to verify the envelope is sealed and is asked to read the prediction out loud. The audience member says a name. The same name as the audience member previously written on the board. The last member holding the calculator is introduced onto the stage and is asked to read the number. The magician asks the audience to turn the board with the audience member's name upside down. It is revealed to be a peerfect match of the number just given.
Cryptext is a custom designed True-Type font with an interesting property. Type anything you want and adjust the font size to suit your needs. After installing Cyptext on your computer, you will be able to print off special characters quickly and easily. However, It is more effective if you learn to write in this style yourself. This allows you to prepare messages anywhere, even in front of the audience. It also lends an impromptu feel which is not present with type written predictions.
Comes with Glossy, 20-page Photo-Illustrated, Instruction Booklet and CD. |
The audience is invited to concentrate on a freely selected jumbo card. An onstage spectator who was not privvy to the selection, "divines" it's name by gazing into a crystal ball. The apparatus is handcrafted to Martin's strict specifications.

Several mysteriously shaped and etched objects ("Runes") are emptied onto a table. All of the Runes are turned face up by the performer. A spectator is asked to select a Rune from those scattered on the table and place it face up in the middle of the table. The remaining Runes are used to make a 'pathway' on either end of the selected Rune (a la dominoes). Once all the Runes are used up, the symbols on the ends are noted. Next, a small package and piece of parchment are removed from the pouch. The inscription on the parchment is read aloud and explains "The Curse of Tituba" a mystical figure partly responsible for the infamous Salem Witch Hunts. The reading also explains a curse which will only be broken when an individual as powerful as Tituba finds the "hidden" Rune and reveals its symbols magically! A weathered cloth packet is opened and found to contain one solitary Rune. Amazingly, the symbols on the Rune match those at the ends of the path exactly! The curse has been broken and those present spared the trials of Tituba!! |
A volunteer from the audience is shown the board with the six cards inserted behind the elastics. The performer removes three of the symbol cards, fairly showing the board.
The performer closes the board, and then permits the spectator to remove the three remaining cards.
The performer then replaces the cards he/she has removed into the closed board. The spectator is then asked to mix their cards face down and hand them back to the performer face down, one by one, telling the performer which spot on the board to put them (left, middle, or right).
Once the cards are all placed on the board, the performer reveals that the spectator's cards match his/her cards exactly. The performer has predicted with 100% accuracy the location of all three of the spectator's cards! |
A Mind-Blowing Book Test With The Da Vinci Code!!!
Featuring Max Maven's latest booklet: Exploring the Zone: Performance Notes for The Da Vinci Zone - Uses a real copy of The Da Vinci Code.
- Multiple word revelations.
- Easy, convincing handling.
- Clever built-in safeguards.
The Da Vinci Zone is powerful, hip mind-reading at its best! Give your spectator a choice of three popular books. He ends up with Dan Brown's best-selling The Da Vinci Code (thanks to our simple surefire force).
Have anyone call out a page number from 1 to 454... he can choose any page. The spectator turns to that page and looks at the first line. With just a blank piece of paper and a pen, you concentrate and silently jot down a few notes. You now dramatically announce to the spectator the first word in the line. You concentrate again and correctly tell him a second major word in that line (or, if you prefer, you can divine the concept of the line).
If you choose, you can now proceed to a second phase and have the spectator concentrate on the opposite page, and now you reveal two words on that page as well!
The paper is really blank and totally normal... in fact, we provide you with a method in which you don't have to write anything but seem to simply pull your spectator's thoughts from the air.
No phony-looking force books: You're using a real Da Vinci Code and not suspicious fake books no one recognizes. - No Page force: Any page number can be chosen.
- No word force: The spectator doesn't have to be steered to "the longest word," etc.
- No awkward moments: Our system tells you if a page is the start of a chapter, so you can tell the person to ignore the headings and concentrate on the first line of text. If a line begins with a hyphenated word, you'll know that, too!
- No bulky gimmicks or sleight-of-hand: You can borrow the piece of paper... no need for clipboards or slates, and no fake dust jackets. No palming required. Nothing to get rid of, because the secret is hidden in plain sight!
- No anagrams or fishing: You can directly divine from the text from the book. Why monkey around guessing the word letter-by-letter or asking the spectator for information?
- No set routine: The words are different every time you perform. You can also customize your routines in any way you wish, using fewer words, choosing concepts instead of words or letters, or working with additional pages.
Unravel the mystery of The Da Vinci Zone now!
The Da Vinci Zones comes to you complete with an actual hardbound edition of The Da Vinci Code, Max Maven's Exploring the Zone technical guide, our custom-made device, and Collectors' Card number 4. |
Imagine your head completely covered by a black cloth hood that has been verified by an audience member as being completely opaque. Then, imagine performing any number of sightless vision miracles, limited only by your imagination, including the Blindfold Drive, a legendary feat of paranormal ability and performed by the greatest mentalists in history.
This is what the Dark Vision system will enable you to accomplish. Designed from the ground up and fashioned to be used with the Osterlind Stainless Steel Blindfold or on its own, Dark Vision will convince your audiences that you have the ability to see using only the power of your mind. The Dark Vision system consists of the very special hood, each one hand-made by Sandra Sisti and made from the same quality materials and exacting specifications as the S.O.S. Bag, and a booklet written by Richard Osterlind that not only explains the minute details of handling Dark Vision with the Stainless Steel Blindfold and also by itself, but also invaluable tips on how to create and perform a large-scale publicity stunt such as a Blindfold Drive.
There have been many gimmicked blindfolds and hoods on the market over the years…but none of them have offered the versatility, craftsmanship, ease of use or sheer mental power of Dark Vision. |
A spectator is shown 10 cards. Each card has the name of 10 cities one each side. The spectator is asked to mentally select a city and merely point to the card it is on. The cards are mixed and turned over. Once again the spectator is asked to point to the card containing his city. Immediately the magician names the chosen city! You can perform it again and again with a different outcome. No force involved. |
Hand your spectator this beautifully crafted brass die and two piece chamber. Have them pick a number between 1 and 6, place the die into the chamber with their number face up and cover it with the lid.
It is impossible to seethrough the brass chamber yet you are able to reveal the number they chose.

Diary Of Destiny Benoit Pilon and Christopher Williams
Are we in control of our lives...
Do we shape our future with our actions... Are our choices really that free...
Do we even have a choice...
Could it be that some things are already predetermined... that no matter what we do, we’ll inevitably end up reaching an unavoidable event... an event that has been decided for us, and that we cannot escape...
Do... You... Believe... In... Destiny...
You Will...
The performer shows that he/she has a playing card in there pocket, and that they'll be getting back to that a bit later. The participant is handed a Journal/Diary, and is asked to browse through it... they'll notice that on every date is a playing card. Now they are handed a deck of playing cards... they can look through them all they want, and can shuffle to there hearts content. Now they'll use the cards to come to a random month and date... all this happens entirely in there hands, with the performer being completely hands off. Once a month and date has been decided, they are to turn to that date and look at the card written, but not to say it. You then ask them to go through the deck and remove the card that's on there date... it's not there... The performer then reminds them about the card he/she had in there pocket prior to starting... it's removed and handed to the spec... it's the card they were thinking of.
That was what happens at it's most basic.
Some points about the effect: - Performer completely hands off
- Normal Deck... can even be borrowed
- Journal/Diary is examinable
- One time set-up on the journal/diary (unless you want to set more up)
- No patterns, no markings, no sleights, no constantly repeating specific cards...
- Simple to perform
Also, for those who do not wish to carry around a journal/diary, there is an alternative included which offers the exact same effect.
Contains 8 pages of detailed instructions.
Note: Diary Of Destiny does not come with a Day timer or Day Journal. |
Performer opens the lid of a small box and shows the inside of the box is completely occupied by six dice. They are serially arranged from one to six inside the box. Performer covers the lid of the box and hands over another dice to the spectators. A spectator throws this dice on top of the closed box. Presume the number thrown is 4. He opens the box and Surprise! All the 4 spots are now on top of the six dice inside the box. And the spectators can examine the box and dice to their heart's content. |
